I counted my todos last week in Taskpaper and there were 160!! I’m not sure if that is a lot for some people but it is having a negative effect on me. I’ve had a hard time feeling like I had time, energy or motivation for basic things like quiet time, journaling, conversations with family, reading. I started to slash and burn, asking if each todo was really important and if I was really ever going to do it (gauging my commitment to it). There were also several longstanding “rocks” on the list that had been there for weeks to months. I jettisoned some todos to lists (a book to read, a song to buy, etc). The list is now down to 30 and feels more manageable. I feel more like I can more readily do the basics.
